Julie Landis, DPT, CEAS,
President and Chief Executive Officer

As President & CEO of Ergo Concepts, LLC, Dr. Landis has been involved in all aspects of project management and corporate development. Ergo Concepts, LLC has provided ergonomic consulting services for over twelve years nationwide. She is a board-certified physical therapist with expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomics. With seventeen years in the health care arena, Julie has worked in ergonomics, clinical sports medicine and orthopedics, and has a special interest in spinal therapy (McKenzie) and orthotics. Beyond her professional education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, Julie has participated in ergonomic training through Ergo Web, Park City, UT, and Roy Matheson & Associates, Keene, NH. With more than 2,000 hours of hands-on ergonomic experience, she has been certified as an ergonomic evaluation specialist (CEES) through Roy Matheson & Associates.



Washington DC / Baltimore Region


Gordon C. DPT, Ergonomist

Gordon is a doctor of physical therapy and graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore. He is licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. With twenty years of professional experience as a physical therapist, he is experienced and skilled in managing clients of all ages. Since 1994, he has been directly involved in promoting ergonomics in construction, office and industrial settings. He is adept at communication and collaboration with employers, employees, other health professionals, and technical professionals to restore client function, comfort and productivity. Gordon is experienced in providing services directly to businesses through ergonomic and industrial health analysis and intervention, through development of employee health promotion programs, employee work capacity testing, and direct care of work-related conditions. Ergonomic training beyond work experience includes continuing education through Roy Matheson and Associates, Keene, NH.  Gordon joined the Ergo Concepts team in January 2012 and provides support for workstation evaluations, equipment recommendations and trainings, seminar/trainings and report generation.


Michael M. MPT, Ergonomist

Michael is a graduate of Howard University School of Allied Health.  He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences and a Bachelor’s of Science in physical education.  In addition to his background as a Maryland licensed physical therapist, Michael began working with Ergo Concepts in 2008 and serves as an ergonomics evaluation specialist.  His clinical experiences in physical therapy include acute and sub-acute care and outpatient orthopedics.  His hobbies include reading, sports, traveling and exploring new technology.



Cindy P. CNP, Ergonomist

Cindy is a Nurse Practitioner with over 27 years of diverse medical-nursing experience including advanced nursing practice, clinical research, clinic management, patient education and medical personnel supervision.  She has worked in hospitals, urgent care facilities, research institutes, and the office of the Air Force Surgeon General, Prisons, Mental Health Facilities and many more.  She has a special interest in neurology, wellness and ergonomics. Cindy holds a MSN from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. She joined Ergo Concepts in 2012 and assists client’s in the DC metro to Baltimore regions.



Allison M.,Ergonomist,  MS, OTR/L, CEAS

Allison graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2012 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist through the Back School of Atlanta. She is currently a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia. Allison has experience in acute care with multiple diagnosis including orthopedic rehabilitation with a focus on the hand, wrist and elbow. She joined ergo concepts in 2014 and assists client’s in the DC metro area.



Gary M. CEAS, Ergonomist

Gary is a graduate of Rider College with a BS in Psychology with an Experimental and Industrial concentration. He brings over 22 years of Ergonomic experience to Ergo Concepts, specializing in Office Ergonomics. Gary operated his own ergonomics Company from 1990 to 2000, providing ergonomic interventions for various government and commercial entities in the Mid-Atlantic region. His client list included extensive work with such entities as Johnson and Johnson, Guardian Life Insurance, Frankfort and Crozier-Keystone Hospitals, Aegis Insurance, US Healthcare(now Aetna), and numerous VA Hospital facilities in the Mid-East. In 2000, Mr. Masenior was recruited by Workrite Ergonomics, a leading manufacturer of Ergonomic products, as Territory Manager for Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. His responsibilities included Sales, Project Management, Product Specification, and Workplace Evaluations. His client list included many GSA and Commercial entities. Most notable, he has worked extensively with the Department of Defense including The Pentagon Renovation(2001-2011), Defense Information Systems Agency(DISA), NAVSEA Headquarters, State Department(Headquarters and Embassies around the world), St Elizabeths Homeland Security Project, National Institute of Health Clinical Research project, Nuclear Regulatory Commission Headquarters, USDA Headquarters, MITRE Corporation, and Penn National Insurance. He recently retired from Workrite Ergonomics (2013) and assumed a position with ErgoConcepts providing Ergonomic Services in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania (including Philadelphia), and Delaware and Baltimore Maryland region.



Robin brings a diverse background and perspective to our team. She has a B.A. in Journalism with a minor concentration in Kinesiology and is also a board certified and licensed massage therapist with 10 years of experience. Robin has been in a variety of workplace settings including healthcare facilities, office environments, and manufacturing plants. She is certified in ergonomic assessments and has recently worked at a General Electric (GE) Aviation occupational health clinic where she completed office and industrial ergonomic assessment reports, post injury assessments, incident investigations, and extensive documentation for worker’s compensation cases. Her unique experiences and extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal structure and function adds another element of expertise to our Ergo Concepts LLC team.


Gloria R., Executive Assistant

Gloria provides all aspects of administrative support in our home office. She is available to field questions from clients and works to process monthly invoices, receive documents from the field ergonomists and act as a liaison between the home office, clients and ergonomists in the field. Gloria is also available to assist in a pinch when extra support is needed for projects. Her friendly demeanor and “can do” attitude resonate with everyone and make any project a pleasure. Gloria is originally from the Washington DC area (Maryland Suburbs), where she worked for 9 years as a Physical Therapists Aide. She is fluent in Spanish and loves animals, cooking and quality time with her family and friends. She joined Ergo Concepts, LLC in 2014.


Jeannie K., MPT, CEES, Ergonomist

Jeannie, MPT, CEES, a licensed physical therapist, Roy Matheson and Associates certified, and Humanscale, Inc. certified office ergonomics evaluator, graduated in 1993 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Psychology.  In 2000, she graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.  Jeannie is a native of the Washington, DC area, and has been treating occupational orthopedic injuries for over 15 years. The first several years of Jeannie’s career were spent in Chicago, Illinois, working for Rush Occupational Health Centers (ROHC), focused on the physical therapy treatment, and prevention, of work related musculoskeletal injuries.  Currently, Jeannie is the Director of Physical Therapy at Nova Pain and Rehab in Arlington, Virginia.  Jeannie is a certified Pilates instructor for rehabilitation professionals, and incorporates neck and low back stabilization techniques with both her physical therapy patients and ergonomics clients.  In addition, Jeannie is the owner and lead designer of Ergo-RX, a therapeutic home office ergonomics and custom ergonomics furnishings store.


Patricia B., MS, ATC, CEAS

Patricia B has a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University and Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Indiana University, Bloomington.  She has been an athletic trainer for 30+ years at the university/college and high school levels.  The need for her office and athletic venue coverage sites to be more ergonomically suitable for herself sparked the interest, study and application of ergonomic assessments.  She joined Ergo Concepts in 2014 and assists clients in the DC metro area.



Samy S., PT

Samy is a Physical Therapist from Australia who graduated from Curtin University in 2008. He has had clinical experience in outpatient and hospital settings. Samy has also had experience in ergonomics and manual handling risk assessments on a mine site in Western Australia, which lead to his interest in occupational health and safety. Samy joined Ergo Concepts in 2015 and assists clients in the DC metro area.



Kevin, ATC, LAT, Ergonomist 

Kevin, ATC, LAT, Ergonomist is a certified athletic trainer and is licensed in the state of Maryland. He attended the University of Charleston (WV) where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2014. He was also a scholarship athlete while at the University of Charleston. Kevin worked for a year as a full time outreach athletic trainer for secondary schools of the greater Washington DC area and still serve on an as needed basis. Kevin also has an interest in physical therapy as it relates to ergonomics, which sparked his interest in Ergo Concepts LLC. Outside of work Kevin enjoys working out, being active, traveling, and concerts.

Carla J. MS,OTR/L,MID,CEAS, Ergonomist

Carla holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College, and a Master of Industrial Design degree from Pratt Institute. Her work as an ergonomist is complemented by her clinical rationale and understanding of human centered design. Carla holds certifications in Ergonomic Assessment (CEAS) and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE), and has client experience within clinical, industrial and corporate settings. She has been quoted in several publications including Fit Pregnancy, SELF, and Advance for Physical Therapy.

Carla currently works as a project director, ergonomist and design consultant, supporting clients throughout the New York City metro area.



Luisa K, CPT, BA PT, MSc, Ergonomist

Luisa has a background in physical therapy and has been working in back-to-work and sports rehabilitation in the US and Europe. The experience of having worked with patients and clients as a physical therapist and certified personal trainer has helped her develop a profound understanding of posture, movement and behavioural change. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Ergonomics in Health and Community Care from Loughborough University in the UK in 2014.  As part of her dissertation, she worked extensively with an international construction and development company in researching, improving and implementing healthier and more productive ways of office and project management.  She now consults clients in home and corporate settings in the NY metropolitan area.


Terrence M. PT, DPT, OCS, CEAS, Ergonomist

Terrance has over sixteen years of experience as a physical therapist/clinical orthopedic specialist and ergonomist.  He is a graduate of Boston University (Bachelor of Health Science, and Masters of Science in Physical Therapy) and University of Scranton (DPT).  Terrence is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist through The Back School of Atlanta and currently works as a clinical Physical Therapist, Ergonomist and Supports Ergo Concepts clients in the NYC and metro NJ region.  He is involved with numerous professional organizations and is also a lecturer on various health related topics.


Laura S. MPT, CEES, Ergonomist

Laura has a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University Medical School, Programs in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is licensed to practice physical therapy in New York and Colorado. Additional continuing education through Roy Matheson and Associates established her as a Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist (CEES).  Her background as a dancer of twenty years and a weight lifter has allowed her to apply this experience as a lecturer on body awareness, injury prevention, traveling ergonomically and safe lifting.  She has served as a lecturer at Hunter College and a body mechanics trainer for nurses at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Laura provides ergonomic evaluations and training services in the New York, NY metro area.



Christopher K., MS,CEAS,CPT,CES,CRC,LRC,LMHC, AEP, Ergonomist

Christopher has been active in the field of rehabilitation and wellness for over fifteen years in a variety of professional roles. He holds educational degrees and board certifications with majors in Ergonomics and Biomechanics, Physical Therapy, Psychotherapy, and Rehabilitation, with a specialization in the study of workplace evaluation, ergonomics and wellness. Chris has worked in a variety of settings including: acute care, rehabilitation centers, private practice, fitness and wellness as well as disability insurance and corporate settings. He has an extensive history of working with both federal and state agencies on workplace accommodations. His perspective currently utilizes this comprehensive background in working with his clients to bring the best results. As a university professor he teaches courses in corrective strategies for injury prevention, wellness, fitness, counseling, mental health, and both medical and psychosocial aspects of disability. His belief is to educate individuals about wellness perspectives and teach how to incorporate wellness into their own lives. Optimal wellness comes from a balanced lifestyle including: mind/body perspectives, good nutrition, and spiritual awareness. Chris is involved with numerous professional organizations and provides ergonomic evaluations and training services in the NY metro area.

Gloria P. MS, CEES, Ergonomist
West Coast Director

Gloria is a graduate of the University of California/Davis in Exercise Science. She has been providing workstation evaluations and office ergonomic seminars since 1998. While attending graduate school, she developed and co-directed a weight management program. Upon completion of her Masters in Science, Gloria went on to work in corporate fitness for a telecommunications company in San Francisco, San Ramon and Sacramento. She was involved in the management of a fitness center; providing back care and weight management education; personalized exercise programs; physical abilities testing and providing office ergonomic assessments and trainings. She received her ergonomic education from the Cooperative Extension program at University of California/Davis and is certified as an Ergonomic Evaluations Specialist (CEES) through Roy Matheson & Associates. Gloria joined Ergo Concepts LLC in 2006 as the West Coast Coordinator and ergonomist.

Karen L. PTA, CEAS, Ergonomist

Karen is a physical therapist assistant and has been providing ergonomic consulting since 2004, when she became certified as an ergonomic evaluation specialist (CEAS) by The Back School of Atlanta.  She has over 26 years of experience in orthopedic injuries and wellness evaluations and is a highly motivated individual with a belief in health and safety awareness. She is a graduate of the University of Houston and Houston Community College.  Karen has been supporting projects for Ergo Concepts in and around Los Angeles since 2005.




Jim L.,CEAS, CEAS II, CEAS III, Ergonomist

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He has over twenty years’ experience in the ergonomics field specializing in office ergonomics. As a consultant and Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist and  conducts on-site ergonomic evaluations for public and private sector clients in the Southern California area & is intimately familiar with ergonomic seating and furniture solutions. He provides on-site training in office ergonomics, reducing the risk of work-related injuries for all populations: rehab, return to work, special needs & general office. Jim also brings over twenty three years of expertise in the equipment sales and service industry to clients and can provide expertise as well as the occasional elbow grease,  helping to tighten a keyboard tray or adjust a bolt (he keeps a tool box with him and isn’t afraid to jump in when needed).  He has worked with and is familiar with multiple ergonomic accessory and seating lines both as a dealer and rep: Workrite, Humanscale, Symmetry Office, ISE and others. Seating lines he has worked closely with include Office Master, Neutral Posture, BodyBilt, Global, Sitmatic, Hon and others. Experience includes specifying, delivery and installation coordination, chair fitting/adjustments, and basic repairs including cylinder replacement, clutch mechanism adjustments for chair back and seat angle, arm and arm pad replacement, etc. He understands how to work with vendors as he was a former territory.


Abbe H. CEAS, CHRM, Ergonomist

Abbe has been providing ergonomic workstation support since 2004, in the Southern California region.  Her career includes experience in workers compensation cases as well as preventative evaluations. She spent 15 years serving as a liaison between workers and various Workers Compensation Insurance Companies, as a vocational rehabilitation consultant, providing assistance and guidance to injured workers with physical disabilities as they returned to suitable gainful employment. Abbe’s professional education includes The University of California Los Angeles, Certification in Human Resource Management, as well as Certification as an Ergonomic Assessment Specialist through The Back School of Atlanta in 2009. She supports Ergo Concepts In the Los Angeles, CA region.

Rita M. CEAS, Ergonomist

Rita is a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist located in San Jose California.    She is also President and Operating Manager for We’ve Got Your Back, LLC, specialty retail showroom with products and services to support back and body health.   She has a passion for ergonomics and helping employees understand the value of safe work habits and healthy ergonomics.  She enjoys working with her clients, individual employees and company management to design and support ergonomics and other wellness programs.  Rita enjoyed a successful career in executive-level management in high tech companies in Silicon Valley, holds an MBA  in Management from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Chemistry from the University of New York Oswego.

Julie G. has been a Physical Therapist since 1982 and has specialized in ergonomics since 1990.  She is a graduate of Emory University’s Physical Therapy program in 1982 and received certification in ergonomics from the Oxford Institute in 2003.  As a physical therapist Ms. Garner specialized in orthopedic manual therapy, work capacity testing and return to work strategies for injured workers. She has conducted evaluations and training for a multitude of private companies as well as county, state and federal agencies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Kathy B. OTR/L, Ergonomist

Kathy has over 26 years’ experience providing medical and industrial rehabilitation. She has worked as an ergonomic specialist, occupational therapist, health consultant, and participated in product review. She received her formal training through San Jose State University’s program in Occupational Therapy with post graduate work at San Francisco State University. She received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy with a specialty in return-to-work programs. She has had experience in the workers compensation field, private rehabilitation, and has provided community-based vocational reentry case management services. She is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and The Bay Area Ergonomic Study Group. Kathy joined Ergo Concepts, LLC in 2006 and provides ergonomic services throughout the San Francisco Bay area.

Monica M., MT, CPT, CBW, CSHE, Ergonomist 

Monica graduated from Hayward State University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s in Biology and since then has been practicing bodywork/massage, accumulating a well-rounded CMT, ‘Conscious BodyWorker (CBW)’, and ‘Neuromuscular Reprogramming (NMR)’ Certification from Healus Center in Marin. She has been Personal Training since 2007, Certified with National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) as a Personal Trainer and Nutritional Consultant. Monica has worked with Physical Therapists in Aide positions for over five years in outpatient and inpatient settings, been practicing Pilates since 2007, and continues certifications through Balanced Body University. Monica has spent years as an Ergonomic and Fitness Specialist where she provided Ergonomic Consulting, Workstation Evaluations, and Job Specific Coaching in a fortune 500 company and currently works with individuals on an outcall basis. She served on an all-women’s mountain bike team for four years while coaching Women to ride mountain bikes and raising money for breast cancer prevention ever since. Racing mountain bikes for the past 20 years, she continues cross country and downhill mountain bike competitions. She has performed Middle Eastern Dance professionally for the past 20 years as well, while teaching in various studios along the way. She is excited to share her expertise with her native community in Oakland, California and the greater bay area to cultivate movement in whichever way feeds one’s individual needs.

Teresa M. Ergonomist, BAE, CEAS II, Ergonomist

Teresa has over 15 years of experience assisting in the development and implementation of multiple training and assessment tools in Occupational Health and Safety areas, including OSHA compliance and Ergonomics.  Over the years, she has collaborated with engineers, scientists and physicians to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions at local, state and federal facilities.  She has assisted conducting ergonomics evaluations at healthcare, research and industrial facilities in the San Diego County since 2005. Teresa has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education, Magna Cum Laude and Dean’s Scholar in the School of Professional Studies, Central Washington University. She has a Certification as an Ergonomics Assessment Specialist through the Back School in Atlanta, GA.

Rebecca A. Ergonomist, MOT

Rebecca is a licensed Occupational Therapist and graduate of Midwestern University-Glendale, Arizona campus.  She also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Social Services from Arizona State University and is a proud ASU Sun Devil! Her clinical experiences include Director of OT in an Outpatient Therapy Clinic, and sub-acute care in a Rehabilitation Hospital. Rebecca has a passion for Ergonomics and educating clients  in injury prevention both at home and in the work place. Rebecca keeps very busy with her two young children, a husband and hobbies including hiking, scrap booking and family outings.

Kara is a Licensed Occupational Therapist, a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist, and Certified Pilates Instructor.  She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  And completed her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL in December 2004.  She has spent her career specializing in neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation.  She continued to advance her career with education in Functional Capacity Evaluations, job site analysis, and fascial stretch therapy.  She has been an adjunct faculty instructor at Brown Mackie College in Phoenix, AZ.  She enjoys performing office ergonomic assessments and educating individuals & corporations on preventative techniques for overuse injuries.

Janet B.  CAE, OTR, MS, Ergonomist

Janet B. has been an occupational therapist since 1998.  As a graduate of the University of New Hampshire she has practiced in a variety of settings including: schools, skilled nursing, hand therapy, and acute rehabilitation before returning to graduate school. At New York University she received her Master of Science in Ergonomics and Biomechanics with a focus on work related musculoskeletal disorders and obtained certification as a Certified Associate Ergonomist from Oxford Research Institute.  Janet continued her career coordinating a NIH research grant for 3 years.  Later she was able to combine her knowledge and interest in upper extremity biomechanics and therapy in the groundbreaking field of NeuroRobotics for 6 years with Myomo [now MyoPro].   As a clinical specialist, she enjoyed training clinicians, patients, and families and aided in research & product design and speaking at the AOTA conference in 2008.

Matthew M. MBA, CPDM, OSHA-PE, Ergonomist

Matthew is a certified professional in disability management, OSHA certified in ergonomics through the University of Washington and an active member of the Human Factors and Ergonomic Society for advanced training.  He has been a contracted ergonomic consultant for the WA State Department of Labor & Industries since 2010 and is currently a contracted disability management/ADA/ergonomic consultant and instructor for the University of California San Diego and various private employers and universities in CA and WA. Having been a vocational rehabilitation consultant for over 20 years, he has assessed over 2,000 occupational / non-occupational medical conditions / injuries / ergonomic problems in both white collar and blue color industries.  He also provides expert assessment and testimony for Longshoremen & Harbor Workers’ federal workers’ comp and WA State worker’s comp.

Karen W. CPDM, ACE is a Certified Professional Disability Manager, a Certified Professional Trainer, a Group Fitness Instructor (ACE) a Senior Benefits Consultant managing safety and workers compensation and a Yoga Instructor. She manages time away from work programs, including return to work programs and ergonomics for a staff of over 5,000 employees across four states and remote workers in seventeen states. Her background spans health, wellness, safety, fitness, management and ergonomics. She supports ergonomics programs in the Seattle, WA region.

Serafine L. MS – Human Factors, Ergonomist

Serafine L. has taught ergonomics classes and performed ergonomic evaluations for many companies, including Apple, Inc., Cisco Systems, Inc., Boeing and PGE. She has worked in office, manufacturing, lab, hospital, clean room and school room settings.  Her mission is to maximize employee productivity, health and well-being through the implementation of proper ergonomic principles. She stresses the importance of proper posture and movement in performing tasks efficiently, the effective use of breaks, stretching, and down-time for rejuvenation and well-being.  Serafine has helped injured employees return to work, guided companies into compliance with OSHA standards, and performed more than 10,000 individual ergonomic assessments. She has also consulted on ergonomic tool/equipment design projects, and created illustrations of repetitive strain injuries for a training manual.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology, and has a Master’s Degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics from San Jose State University.

Tamara J. MA,CPE,CSPHP, Ergonomist

Tamara is responsible for hazard evaluation and training for upward of thirty thousand workers involved in every aspect of a medical and teaching institution, including medical research and laboratories, health care delivery, office work, information management, laundry processing, food preparation, maintenance, grounds keeping, housekeeping, and telecommunications. Responsible for coordinating ergonomic-related activities, including performing ergonomic evaluations of workplaces, implementing an institution-wide ergonomics program, organizing and guiding an ergonomics committee, developing ergonomic policies, procedures, and guidelines, developing and conducting ergonomic training classes, managing the activities of ergonomics staff, and providing technical expertise for projects involving purchasing managers, facility planners, operations managers and occupational physicians.

Consultant. Provide ergonomics consultation services to companies outside of Duke University through Occupational Health Services. Typical services include worksite evaluation/hazard assessment and control, training and education, and work area planning assistance.

Scott received his undergraduate degree from Boston’s Northeastern University in 1991. After taking a year off to travel, he attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1996. He then returned to Massachusetts and opened his Back Bay chiropractic clinic. As a chiropractor in the heart of Boston for 18 years, he has been on the front-line in the battle to help reduce the effects of “sitting disease,” and the associated risk factors. Early on in his practice, Scott realized the benefit of providing his patients with properly designed ergonomic tools and work-spaces to continue to support their spinal health. An integral part of his mission soon became focused on his client’s spinal integrity in the workplace, and how best to maximize their health, comfort, and productivity. Allen holds a Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Duke University, Durham NC.  With almost 40 years’ experience as a physical therapist, the past 23 years have focused on workplace cumulative trauma injury prevention and ergonomics.  This focus came as a result of insights and sensible cost-effective healthcare priorities gained during his initial 17 years as director of physical therapy services at 600-bed Maine Medical Center, Portland, ME, the state’s largest referral and teaching medical center.  His passion for the value that physical therapists can contribute to this important preventive field, led to four years in the late ’90s as associate director of practice at the American Physical Therapy Association headquarters in Alexandria, VA., where among his key responsibilities was to promote and support the growth of occupational health physical therapy as a specialty area.  Allen has worked with hundreds of diverse companies, primarily in Maine and New England as well as in many states across the country.
